Amber & Jet 3rd Degree Necklaces - This beautiful 61cm necklace has been created exclusively for New Moon and incorporates both the genuine Baltic amber and genuine jet beads plus a solid sterling silver 3rd degree symbol. The double necklace thread in black is hand-knotted along all 24" and the complete piece has been created by an initiate. The clasp is also solid sterling silver making this an excellent and valuable piece to wear anywhere. The genuine Baltic amber is certified as being authentic and not reformed, reconstituted or reshaped in any way - it is the genuine article shaped in to a small bead. The jet used is 8mm round lignitic jet, highly polished beads of hard pure jet. This is not soft American jet but is high quality, hard jet polished to a high shine only possible with high quality jet. This jet is on a par with Whitby jet in my opinion. To check that this (or any jet) is real jet, simply take a bead and on a side it won't show up on, draw across the rough side of a ceramic cup (which will slightly wear the bead) - a plastic bead will not leave a mark but real jet will.

Amber & Jet Chokers - This wonderful 40cm choker has been created exclusively for New Moon. With a solid sterling silver clasp on a sterling silver necklace wire, this beautiful necklace was created with a mixture of small genuine Baltic amber beads (guarenteed not to be cheap reformed or heated/melted amber) and genuine hard lignitic jet beads. It is a beautiful 16" choker and sets well off against any outfit and only those in the know will realize what it signifies. The jet used is 8mm round lignitic jet, highly polished beads and is not the soft, dull American jet. The jet used in this piece is high quality, hard jet polished to a high shine only possible with high quality jet. This jet is on a par with Whitby jet in my opinion. To check that this is real jet, simply take the end bead (as this will leave a less-polished mark on the bead) and on one end, draw across the rough side of a ceramic cup - a plastic bead will not leave a mark but real jet will.
