What will happen when you want to book a party is that we will ask you which type of party you wish to host - dragon and fantasy, divination and scrying, jewellery, ritual, or gothic. We will also check if it is jewellery, if it will be for magickal, muggle or mixed. If muggle or mixed, we can remove pentacles or bring only a limited selection of pentacles. The party needs to be within a 1.5h drive of where we are based and should ideally be on a weeknight or a time on a weekend when everyone would be available because the more people spend, the more you get to spend with us!
If you are outside our travelling distance, we are working on a new system for you to be able to put on your own parties.
Once booked, we will send you invitations to send to your potential guests where you can fill in the type of party, where it will be and when and send them off to everyone you wish to attend. On the night, we will come at least 30 minutes before your guests arrive to help set up the room in which we will be talking and demonstrating and to get catalogues on all the chairs.
Once we get going on the night, sit back, relax and have fun! It is recommended to have drinks and nibbles available as this helps others relax and makes it more of a party atmosphere. We can offer a variety of ways to keep people entertained and informed about the latest trends in jewellery, how silver and the jewellery they see is made, the various meanings behind the symbols and more. For divination parties, we will have lots of decks and runes and more to help people try their hand at reading as well as teaching people how to read. Of course, we will have the Cup of Destiny for tealeaf reading! For ritual parties, we will work through the magical tools and their use in ritual and even - depending on the time - run through how to create your own personal ritual. For the dragon parties we have lots of dragons to awe and inspire plus lore and myths about dragons in various cultures. The goth parties are the most fun! We will have the new romantic shirts, dresses, cloaks, and more to try on and have fun with. No makeup yet but if these parties do well, I'm sure gothic makeup will be added. Parties ideally should run for no more than 2 hours. We would demonstrate for 45min - 1h15min to allow people time to look through the catalogue, place orders, chat, ask questions and everything.
Orders placed on the night will earn the hostess credit which can then be spent on our items. In addition, getting 8 people to order something at a party earns you an additional bonus and getting someone at the party to book another party gets you an additional bonus!
We're looking at a 10% credit for shopping when orders total together over £85 plus a home cleansing spell worth £13 for getting 8 or more people ordering on the night. If you can get someone to book a party during yours, you'll get a glass jar scented natural wax and essential oil candle worth £9. If you get 8 or more people placing orders on the night *plus* someone books another party at yours, instead of those two items, you can choose a sterling silver Tear of the Raven Sister pendant with sterling silver chain worth £32. You'll notice neither the pendant nor the home blessing kit is available in our regular catalogue! We appreciate you hosting us and inviting us into your home and we'd like to make it worth your while. Don't forget, getting orders from friends before the party will still count towards your party total for the 10% bonus.
Once orders are placed, we will collect them together and deliver ordered items usually within one to two weeks of the party. These orders will be delivered to the hostess who can then distribute them to the party-goers.
