> If you have any suggestions for pain relieving/healing spells I would be
very glad to hear them.
I also have problems with my back, although, dear heart, not as bad as
yours. I would be really grateful, too, for anyone who has specific
spells, as I seem to have a lack of them and would like to try some.
I focus on coping and tolerating the pain, as I have had it for 15 years
and will always have it. I believe healing is met from every element,
so I petition differently according to which element is calling. In the
waxing to full moon I focus on strengthening my back and increasing
ability to cope. In the waning to dark phase I focus on banishing pain
and destroying its control of my life.
Meditating on the colors blue, green, gold and orange helps, green being
best for me. For candle magick I write runes in green ink and burn them
over a green or blue candle. Gold and orange seem to work better in a
situation where I can aggressively battle a health issue. Prior to
surgery orange really helped me in the courage department. For coping
and dealing with pain green and blue work best for me.
Some incense suggestions. The most powerful combination I've tried is
bay, cinnamon, frankincense, sandalwood and eucalyptus. That'll blow
you away :-) But for quiet meditation to deal with pain, eucalyptus
alone is wonderful. To build up stamina and call up healing energy
heliotrope combined with any zesty spice (like cinnamon or clove) is
great.
For oil, sweetgrass and sage make a good combination. They lift the
spirits and maintain a positive attitude. When you are in constant pain
the attitude can definitely shift. I can turn into an ogre if pain is
in control.
I also tried frankincense and pine and frankincense and cedar for
calming and centering, which helped me focus on visualizing lack of
pain. Sometimes visualization is hard when you are in so much pain you
can't focus.
Although I have not tried this, my notes say that green jasper is great
to carry on your person to strengthen energy flow and relieve stress,
which would seem to be a good thing when dealing with constant pain.
